About Field

Field Elementary School is a public school in Wheeling, Illinois, that serves more than 400 kindergarten through fifth grade students. Named for the American poet, Eugene Field (1850-1895), the elementary school is dedicated to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student is empowered to achieve their fullest potential. Our school is committed to academic excellence, social-emotional growth, and the development of lifelong learners. Students attend the district’s London Middle School after graduating from Field.

At Field Elementary, we believe in a holistic approach to education that balances rigorous academics with enriching extracurricular activities. Our experienced and passionate educators work collaboratively to create engaging, student-centered learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs and talents of our students.

We prioritize community involvement and value the strong partnerships we have with families and local organizations. Together, we strive to create a supportive and vibrant school community where every child feels valued and encouraged to explore, learn, and grow.

Our students are able to receive “Wings” for being respectful, responsible and ready to learn.
